Poem and Painting Pairing - Liebermann and Sexton

I think it's interesting to compare the studios of artists to the rooms of writers, poets.  Here is a supremely intense and vivid and visceral poem by Anne Sexton titled, "The Room of My Life."  It begins,


Here,
in the room of my life
the objects keep changing.
Ashtrays to cry into,
the suffering brother of the wood walls,
the forty-eight keys of the typewriter
each an eyeball that is never shut,
the books, each a contestant in a beauty contest,
