be quiet still and solitary

You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.

~ Kafka

So, a quick walk with the dog for me this morning, then hitting the work in progress. A lot of waiting going on at this point. A lot of sitting, hoping, despairing. Still, it must be done. Strange that one is compelled to do so....

  1. I happened upon your blog and flickr site on this day of "new snow, clinging."

    Exquisite.
